AFE Pro Blitz Indianapolis Colts Cheerleaders

Armed Forces Entertainment and Family and MWR will host AFE Pro Blitz featuring the Indianapolis Colts Cheerleaders on Nov. 16 from 12:45 to 7 p.m. The free event will take place at multiple community locations. The day begins with a mini show at 12:45 p.m. at the Ramstein PX food court, followed by a meet and greet. At 4 p.m., a Cheer Workshop will be held at the Landstuhl Youth Center, Bldg. 93812 on Landstuhl Post, also followed by a meet and greet. The final meet and greet is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Kazabra Club, Bldg. 2057 on Vogelweh. There is no cost to attend.

This is a free event, which includes a free youth cheer clinic, for ages 5 to 18, a mini show performed by the Indianapolis Colts’ Cheerleaders at 6 p.m., and a meet and greet at 6:30 p.m. For more information, visit baumholder.armymwr.com. 

Serving Heroes Military Appreciation Meal

The Gary Sinise Foundation in partnership with Family and MWR presents a free “Serving Heroes” appreciation meal Nov. 19 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Rheinlander Community Club, Bldg. 8085 on Smith Barracks. This buffet-style meal is open to all U.S & Allied, Active-Duty Service Members, Veterans and first responders. This is a part of the Gary Sinise Foundation’s heartfelt mission to honor “Our Defenders, Veterans, First Responders & Their Families.” Come enjoy a warm, classic American meal and connect with others in a spirit of gratitude and community. We look forward to celebrating you and your service.

Thursday Night Comedy Show

Armstrong’s Club Hosts Thanksgiving Celebration

Come celebrate Thanksgiving Day with family and friends at the Armstrong’s Club Thursday, Nov. 27. Times are 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.  Cost is 32€ for adults, 18 and older, 17€ for ages 6 to 17 and free for ages 5 and younger. Youth Dodgeball Clinic

Enrollments for the Dodgeball Clinic, for ages 7 to 15, is now to Nov. 28. The clinic will be held from Dec. 1 to 5 on Landstuhl Post. Cost is $35. The new CYS Dodgeball program is all about high energy fun! Children play different versions and variations of dodgeball and even learn different strategies. Dodgeball is an excellent game for developing hand/eye coordination all while being a tremendous cardio workout. Arts & Crafts Center Seeks Skilled Instructors

The Arts & Crafts Center, located in Bldg. 8104 on Smith Barracks, is seeking instructors to teach mosaic, stained glass, painting and other specialized artistic skills. Volunteer or contractor options are available. The Java Café Winter Drink Special “Joyful Moments” is happening now until Jan. 5. The special is Toffee Nut Latte, Toffee Nut Frappuccino and Hot Chocolate. Donuts with Santa

Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration

U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz is hosting a Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration Dec. 5 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Rheinlander Community Club, Bldg. 8085 on Smith Barracks in Baumholder.  The event will showcase photos with Santa, holiday-themed crafts, live music performances from the Baumholder High School Band, and hot chocolate and Glühwein/Kinderwein and donuts. Fireside Storytimes

Keystone Summit

Keystone Summit will be held at the Youth Center on Ramstein Air Base Dec. 13 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. This is a free event open to all Keystone members.  Keystone youth members can sign up through their Army or Air Force Youth programs. This summit will include Boy’s and Girl’s Clubs of America style conference sessions, meals and snacks, community service opportunity, and a trip to Fun Park Trampoline Park, and limited-edition Keystone SWAG. Tuesday Yoga Class

The Mountaineer Physical Fitness Center announces Soft and Slow (Restorative and Yin Yoga) the first Tuesday of the month from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. Mountaineer Physical Fitness Center, Bldg. 8220, Baumholder. Cost is $15 per person, per class or $14 by purchasing one book of 10 classes for $140. Experience is not necessary for Yogis to attend this class. Yoga and Wine

Uncork & Unwind: Yoga with a Splash of Wine will be held Nov. 14 and 21 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Kazabra Club, Bldg. 2057 on Vogelweh. The 18-and-over event offers a relaxing evening of social networking followed by a rejuvenating yoga session. Admission is $15 and includes two glasses of wine. Participants must bring their own yoga mats. Whether you’re a seasoned yogi or just looking to unwind after a long day, this event offers the perfect blend of movement and mindfulness. 500/1000 Pound Club

Registration for the 500/1000 Pound Club is now until Nov. 15 at the Kleber Physical Fitness Center, Bldg. 3235 on Kleber Kaserne. The event is on Nov. 15 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Registration is in-person at the Kleber PFC. Open to all Military ID Card Holders, Civilians ID Card Holders, and Local National (LN) ID card holders 18 years and older. Turkey Shoot

Registration for the Turkey Shoot is now to Nov. 16 at the Rolling Hills Golf Course, Bldg. 8888 on Wetzel Kaserne. The November Turkey Shoot happens Sunday, Nov. 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and is a fun season closeout tournament with the winner receiving a free turkey and second place will get a free ham. This tournament will be standard stroke play format over 18 holes. Cost is $30 for members, $35 for early signup and $40 for day of signup. Dog Obedience Training

Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation has dog obedience training starting at eight-weeks of age held Saturdays at the Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation Motor Pool, Bldg. 2902 on Pulaski Barracks. Classes are one hour, with time slots between 9 a.m. to noon depending on the size of the dog. Cost is $15 per dog. This fee must be paid in advance by close of business Friday either in person at Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation or by calling 493-4117 or 0631-3406-4117. SKIES Gymnastics

Enrollment is now open for SKIES Unlimited gymnastics for ages 1 to 18 in the Kaiserslautern Community. SOS Survivor Support Group

The Army Community Service Survivor Outreach Services hosts a SOS Survivor Support Group second Thursday of every month from 5 to 7 p.m. in Building 3820 (next to the Thrift Shop), second floor conference room on Landstuhl Post. Registration is required and must be done by 2 p.m. the day of the meeting by calling the ACS front desk at 531-2863/2851 or 0611-143-531-2863/2851. This is an ongoing monthly support group for surviving family members of deceased active duty service members.

Latin Nights at the Rheinlander!

The last Friday of the month is Latin Night from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., in the ballroom of the Rheinlander Community Club, Bldg. 8085 on Smith Barracks. The Salsa Band Borinkuba will perform live several Latin music favorites, such as Salsa, Merengue and Bachata.  Food is available from 8 to 11 p.m. This event is for those 18 and older, who are I.D. card holders.
