CYS is hiring Child & Youth Program Assistants for locations in Miesau, Landstuhl, Kleber and Sembach. Thursday Night Comedy Show
An American based in London, Russell Hicks headlines the Thursday Comedy Show Oct. 16 from 8 to 10 p.m. at the Kazabra Club, Bldg. 2057 on Vogelweh. Feature Comedians are Erin Crouch, who has been producing and hosting comedy in the KMC since 2020, and Jack Holmes, who headlined the first Kazabra Comedy show in 2021. Guest host is Dizzy the Host. This is an 18+ event. Doors open at 7 p.m., tickets are $15 at the door. Payment can be made with credit and debit cards or U.S dollars. Euros are not accepted. Trunkin’ Treats in Baumholder

New Facility Hours for Landstuhl Automotive Skills Center
Beginning Oct. 3, the Landstuhl Automotive Skills Center will no longer operate on Saturday. New hours for the center are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with early drop-off available daily from 8:30 to 9 a.m. The facility will be closed on Saturdays, Sundays and federal holidays. Landstuhl Library Paws and Tales: Reading to Dogs
Starting in October, the Paws and Tales: Reading to Dogs is held on the first and third Wednesday and Thursday of every month between 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Landstuhl Library, Bldg. 3810 on Landstuhl Post. This program is for school-age readers, who will be reading to Red Cross certified dogs. Registration is required and can be done through the QR on kaiserslautern.armymwr.com. Aqua Zumba at Baumholder Aquatic Center
Aqua Zumba classes led by Oliva Gairy, who is a certified Aqua Zumba instructor, are held weekly at the Baumholder Aquatic Center, Bldg. 8897 on Wetzel Kaserne. Sessions take place Wednesdays from 10 to 11 a.m. and Fridays from 5 to 6 p.m. Classes are not held on federal or training holidays. The cost is $5 per class, which includes the $3 pool entrance fee. Rocky Horror Shadow Show
KMC Onstage Studio Shows presents the Rocky Horror Shadow Show Friday, Oct. 24 and 25, at the Landstuhl Community Club, Bldg. 3780 on Landstuhl Post. The preshow is at 9 p.m., and the show is at 10 p.m. Cost is $20 per person, which includes a prop bag. This event is for ages 18 and older. College Night at Kaiserslautern High School
Join Family and MWR, in partnership with Kaiserslautern High School for College Night Nov. 5 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Kaiserslautern High School, Bldg. 3000 on Vogelweh. There will be approximately 50 universities and colleges represented along with organizations that provide scholarships to students. European Universities and stateside universities will be represented along with military service representatives. Middle school and High school students benefit from this event. The event is open to all ID Card holders.

Dog Obedience Training
Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation has dog obedience training starting at eight-weeks of age held Saturdays at the Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation Motor Pool, Bldg. 2902 on Pulaski Barracks. Classes are one hour, with time slots between 9 a.m. to noon depending on the size of the dog. Cost is $15 per dog. SOS Survivor Support Group
The Army Community Service Survivor Outreach Services hosts a SOS Survivor Support Group second Thursday of every month from 5 to 7 p.m. in Building 3820 (next to the Thrift Shop), second floor conference room on Landstuhl Post. Registration is required and must be done by 2 p.m. the day of the meeting by calling the ACS front desk at 531-2863/2851 or 0611-143-531-2863/2851. This is an ongoing monthly support group for surviving family members of deceased active duty service members.
Latin Nights at the Rheinlander!
The last Friday of the month is Latin Night from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., in the ballroom of the Rheinlander Community Club, Bldg. 8085 on Smith Barracks. The Salsa Band Borinkuba will perform live several Latin music favorites, such as Salsa, Merengue and Bachata. Food is available from 8 to 11 p.m. This event is for those 18 and older, who are I.D. card holders. No cover charge.
