News for the Ramstein, Kaiserslautern, Landstuhl & Baumholder military communities in Germany 
Upon assuming command of the Continental Army in Cambridge, Mass., Gen. George Washington was able to count a total of 15 chaplains already serving within the 23 regiments around Boston. Then, on July 29, 1775, the Continental Congress gave chaplains their first official recognition, marking the birthdate of the Chaplain Corps.
Soldiers, Department of the Army civilians and local nationals celebrated the 60th anniversary of the 21st Theater Sustainment Command’s 6966th Transportation Truck Terminal, Theater Logistics Support Center-Europe, with food, drink and commemoration during a ceremony Sept. 13 on Rhine Ordnance Barracks.
“Today we honor all the nurses who have defended liberty and have made amazing sacrifices. Yet, as we celebrate our history, we embrace the future with confidence and leadership,” said Chaplain (Capt.) Walid Habash, 86th Airlift Wing chaplain, during the invocation for the Air Force Nurse Corps’ 64th anniversary celebration June 1 on Ramstein.
