Kaiserslautern hosts half marathon March 23

The running division of the sports club TSG 1861 Kaiserslautern will sponsor the 33rd annual half marathon March 23 in Kaiserslautern.

University sponsors run, hike, park fest

The Technical University Kaiserslautern will sponsor its second forest run, called “Uni-Villa-WaldLauf 28,” from the university’s sports field to Villa Denis in Diemerstein Saturday. The UVL28 is a 28-kilometer-long run with an altitude difference of 400 meters. The event will end with a park fest in Diemerstein.

‘Honor super omnia’ — Honor above all things

The weather was crisp and stern. With a 30 percent chance of rain and a low temperature of 43 degrees, runners adorned their various costumes and neon running suits with scarves and gloves as they prepared to run a 5K in memory of Airman 1st Class Zachary Ryan Cuddeback.
