News for the Ramstein, Kaiserslautern, Landstuhl & Baumholder military communities in Germany U.S. Army Europe is asking service members in Germany who are residing off post in privately leased or rental housing to take part in the annual housing survey. The survey is instrumental in ensuring accurate housing allowance rates for military families living off post.
The Defense Travel Management Office is conducting an Overseas Housing Allowance Utility and Move-in expense survey until March 31.
Service members and families that live off base are more than likely used to the term Overseas Housing Allowance. What they may not be familiar with is the survey’s done every year to ensure they’re allowed the right amount of money for their living quarters.
