21st TSC hosts UMO symposium

Unit movement officers are critical assets for companies and battalions deploying in support of NATO and other operations, and the 21st Theater Sustainment Command helped enable such units by hosting a symposium for newly appointed UMOs as part of the ongoing command deployment discipline program Feb. 24 to 25.

Participants of the Unit Movement Officer Symposium visit the Ramstein Passenger Terminal Sept. 15. The symposium served as refresher training for all Unit Movement Officers throughout U.S. Army Europe. The purpose of the four-day symposium was to familiarize all UMOs with proper rules and regulations for preparing cargo and equipment prior to shipping through Ramstein.

The transportation section of the 21st Theater Sustainment Command, G4, coordinated and hosted a Unit Movement Symposium at various locations within the Kaiserslautern area Sept. 14 through 17.
