ENGLISH TOUR – COUNT PALATINATE AND SUBTERRANEAN TUNNELS

The tour starts in the Count Palatinate Hall of the former Casimir Castle, where official receptions of the city are held today. Afterwards you descend into the subterranean tunnels. HOMBURG FLEA AND ANTIQUES MARKET

The biggest flea and antiques market in southwest Germany, takes place on the first Saturday of the month, in the area known as the Forum, in front of the Homburg Rathaus (town hall) and the Landratsamt. The flea market was launched in 1975 and has developed into the largest in southwest Germany. Next date: Dec. 6 (Christmas Flea Market).
QUIRNBACH PFERDEMARKT

A festival for horse lovers and tradition enthusiasts – the Quirnbach Horse Market. Every year on the second Wednesday in November, the tranquil town in the West Palatinate region transforms into a lively meeting place. This is when the 500-person village literally gets its hooves churning. In the middle of the week, animal lovers, market visitors, and revelers from near and far flock to the town.
The traditional Quirnbach Horse Market has a long history – since 1876, it has attracted around 15,000 visitors annually, making it one of the most important horse markets in Rhineland-Palatinate.
The market begins early in the morning with the main attraction: the horse awards ceremony. Here, owners present their magnificent horses – donkeys are also welcome – to a jury of experienced judges. This event is particularly interesting for recreational riders.
COUNTRY NIGHT WITH “LOUISIANA ON TOUR”

Louisiana on tour is a renowned country music band with six experienced musicians from the greater Rhine-Main and Saarland areas. Nov. 11 marks the beginning of the Karneval season in Germany. Some cities such as Cologne, Düsseldorf and Mainz have colorful festivities and street events to kick off the season. Various exhibitors will present creative work such as Christmas decorations, ornaments or arts and crafts. Ranging from jewelry, wood and glass articles, diversified works made of textile and felt, indoor and outdoor pottery and many other objects. Honey and other treats will be offered as well. Visitors will have the chance to look over the artists` shoulders while they offer live presentations. The fragrance of freshly baked cinnamon waffles and the festively decorated stands put visitors in the mood for the pre-Christmas season. Snacks, coffee and cakes are available. Visitors are invited to participate in a raffle. Proceeds will be donated to the Hospice Care Association of Ramstein-Miesenbach.
