U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Day G. Turner 319th Infantry Division soldier lays to rest at Luxembourg American Cemetery, Luxembourg, May 8. Turner led a nine-man squad in defending a critical position in Dahl, Luxembourg, against overwhelming German forces, engaging in fierce hand-to-hand combat and repelling the enemy after a four-hour battle, resulting in 25 prisoners taken and 11 enemy dead.
