Street festival in Kaiserslautern
The French group Compagnie des Quidams presents “Fiers à Cheval,” at 10:30 p.m. today and Saturday near the Pfalztheater during the street theater festival, “Alles Muss Raus,” in Kaiserslautern. Throughout tonight, Saturday and Sunday, bands, walking groups, dancers, artists and clowns, both disabled and non-disabled, perform in the center of town. The opening revue begins at 7:30 p.m. today in Fruchthalle, next to the Tourist Office on Fruchthallstrasse. Admission is €5. All other performances are free. Kaiserslautern, Volkspark (duck pond at corner of Entersweiler-/Donnersberger Strasse):
• Outdoor concert with the Music Association Kottweiler-Schwanden presenting “Appassionato Brass Music,” 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 24. Admission is free. An ecumenical worship service will follow the concert. Snacks and beverages are available in bistro. Children’s adventure playground is next to music pavilion.

Town wall fest
Freinsheim celebrates its annual town wall fest today through Monday. Local vintners, restaurant owners and associations serve Palatinate culinary specialties and regional wines in booths set up along the 1.3 kilometer long historical town wall. Various bands perform different styles of music. The fest begins 6 p.m. today, 4 p.m. Saturday and Monday, and 11:30 a.m. Sunday. The old part of town is closed to motorized traffic. Visitors are asked to park at the edge of town, from where they only have to walk a few steps to get to the center. For details, visit www.stadt-freinsheim.de.
