Local martial artists dominate at world championships

Four students and three instructors from the Loveless Academy
participated in the World Organization of Martial Arts Athletes World
Martial Games XII, held Aug. 19 to 21 in Cardiff, Wales. The
championship consisted of close to 700 competitors from 23 countries.

High school volleyball referees needed

As Department of Defense Dependents Schools high school volleyball
swings into the 2011 season, the call goes out for referees, experienced
or not, to work the matches. The Kaiserslautern Officials Association,
contracted to officiate for the season, welcomes civilians, military and
dependents to support youth sports, to enjoy travel in Germany and the
Benelux, and to make money while keeping active.
