Children’s fest offers fun, action Saturday

Children’s fest is taking place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday in the center of Kaiserslautern, and “Fun and Action in the City” is the motto. The city and the advertising association, “Kaiser in Lautern,” will sponsor the traditional fest, offering a diverse program for the whole family. Stores, local clubs and institutions will also present manifold activities and special offers.

The competition began with boat races, where teams were tasked to pedal their custom-built boats from one end of the pool to the other as quickly as possible.
