An 86th Airlift Wing C-130J Super Hercules and a Bulgarian air force C-27J Spartan fly in formation July 16 over Plovdiv, Bulgaria. The formation flight was part of a bilateral training exercise. More than 100 allied service members jumped from three C-130Js and one C-27J.

The Bureau of Customs and Border Protection issues fines of $100 to $1,000 to first-time offenders who ignore the strict rules that apply to sending food products stateside.

Jazz festival takes place at Nanstein Castle

Nanstein Castle in Landstuhl will be the stage for the annual “Burg Jazz” music festival July 24 and 25. For the 18th year, the Unnerhaus Culture Club will present six bands performing big band jazz, rock, blues, Dixieland and pop music.
