MANNHEIM, Germany — Command Sgt. Maj. Mark A. Morgan, command sergeant major, 405th Army Field Support Brigade; Colonel Rodney H. Honeycutt, commander, 405th AFSB; and Eugene Warren, deputy general manager, Theater Logistics Support Center-Europe, recognized TLSC-E members for their hard work and dedication for completing the mission of maintaining the equipment of the 405th Army Preposition Stocks at the Coleman Work Site in Mannheim during a ceremony on Feb. 24. The Coleman Work Site is managed by the 405th AFSB.

Military working dog Dark with the 100th Military Working Dog Detachment, 92nd Military Police Company, takes a bite out of Maj. Linda C. Benavides, general surgeon and team chief of the 67th Forward Surgical Team, during a military working dog demonstration Dec. 22, 2016. Dark died Feb. 9 of complications from cancer. During Dark's career, he was assigned to the 529th Military Police Company in Wiesbaden, the 92nd Military Police Company and the 525th Military Working Dog Detachment in Baumholder, and finally the 100th MWD Det. in Stuttgart then later Miesau, Germany.

The life of “Dark,” a dual purpose patrol and drug detector dog with the 100th Military Working Dog Detachment, 92nd Military Police Company, was honored at a memorial service held at Daenner Kaserne Chapel March 2.

Senior Airman Tyler Allen, U.S. Air Forces in Europe Warrior Prep Center systems administrator, reads to elementary school students during the Dr. Seuss Reading Cafe March 3 on Ramstein. The weeklong event aims to recognize Dr. Seuss’ birthday by promoting reading. More than 50 service members volunteered to read a combined 20 hours to the students during the event.

The annual Landstuhl Mountain run is scheduled to start at 3 p.m. March 18 near Sickingensporthalle at Kaiserstrasse 128 in Landstuhl. Runners must run 7.1 kilometers to Nanstein Castle.
