Celebrate Read Across America

On March 3, join the Library and CYS in celebrating Read Across America. This fun, family-friendly event will include a “Horton Hears a Who” puppet show, storytime, make and take activities, face paint and more from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. No entry fee. Theater Instructor Needed

SKIESUnlimited is looking for a theater instructor to teach children and youth about the wonderful world of theater. We are looking for motivated professionals who have prior experience teaching theater to youth and can develop fun, engaging theater classes as an after school program. Child and Youth Program Assistants work directly with children and youth and must be trustworthy, able to maintain a high degree of professionalism at all times and have the desire to be a positive influence on children and youth.

Engineering Classes

Children will be introduced to the fundamentals of engineering. Students will have an opportunity to build electrical engines, working draw-bridges, fully functioning cranes and basic gear boxes. Students will also be introduced to engineering concepts using pneumatic principles and equipment. Worksheets will be handed out so that children can expand their understanding of learned concepts outside of the classroom.
