86th AW SERE instructors train with 424th ABS

Two Survive, Evasion, Resistance and Escape instructors assigned to the 86th Operations Support Squadron, out of Ramstein Air Base, lead a survivalist training day with the 424th Air Base Squadron at Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe Airfield-Chièvres Air Base, Belgium, Oct. 12. This was a special event that was put together by the 424 ABS in honor of their 10-year anniversary — to boost morale the squadron allowed their Airmen to wear mix-matched uniforms and 10-year anniversary morale patches at the event.

Two Airmen who specialize in SERE from the 86th Operations Support Squadron, Ramstein Air Base, trained 424th ABS Airmen how to utilize both man-made and natural materials to lay out an emergency signal. This training was part of the 10-year anniversary celebration. Airmen were permitted to wear mix-matched uniforms and morale patches as part of the celebration.
