Ramstein wrestlers dominate at Ansbach

Ramstein wrestlers placed 1st again in a five team tournament Saturday at Ansbach.

The tournament featured teams from Ansbach, Bamberg, Patch, Bitburg, and Ramstein High Schools.

Ramstein blew away the competition with 266 points. Patch high school finished a distant second, scoring 138 points.

Ramstein wrestlers placed in all of the weight classes.

Ramstein had seven first place winners and 8 second place winners out of 14 weight classes.

First place winners for Ramstein were: Sophomore Trey Fortunato, sophomore Noah Sheppard, freshman Coty Reinhart, sophomore Kent Norda, senior Logan Rainforth, sophomore Joel Smith and senior Cole Maxey.

Second place finishers for Ramstein were: Junior Ryan Gough, sophomore Jeremiah Raveling, sophomore Michael Kane, senior Jose Figueroa, Senior Karl Saucier, sophomore Eric Oyan, sophomore John Winston and senior James Horst.

The Royals will be wrestling at home this Saturday. They will be competing against London Central, Alconbury, Baumholder and Giessen.
Wrestling will start at 10 a.m.
