Looking for a summer getaway? Been all over Europe already? Then give Abu Dhabi a try.

Abu Dhabi is the capital of the United Arab Emirates and is the country’s second largest city. The big city with small-town charm is located on an island just off the coast in the Persian Gulf.

Visitors to Abu Dhabi can enjoy a variety of activities from desert
safaris to shopping in the Souk. Beach-goers can participate in windsurfing, wakeboarding, sailing and more. For the more adventurous, there is even scuba and snorkeling excursions at the small islands that surround Abu Dhabi and dot the main coastline.

After a full day of activities, you can relax with beach-side meals or venture downtown for foods from just about anywhere in the world. Abu Dhabi is a city of blended cultures with a mixed population from countries such as the Philippines, India and other European countries.

Shopping downtown is an adventure in itself. Bargain-hunters can find great deals on hot-ticket items like brand name clothing, electronics and more. Just be prepared to haggle. Shop owners take great pleasure in a lively round of bargaining before
settling on a price.

If haggling isn’t your thing, visit the three-story mall for all the latest fashions. While there, stop by the kid zone and let the children burn some energy on the indoor roller coaster, robotic animals or playing arcade games. You can even hit the slopes for some snow skiing at the indoor ski resort in the mall.

Whatever your vacation dreams, chances are Abu Dhabi has the ability to make them come true.
