424th Air Base Squadron hosts local farming community

The 424 Air Base Squadron hosts local farmers at Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe Airfield-Chièvres Air Base, Belgium, Oct. 11. During the morning portion of the visit, U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Kevin D. Coughlin, 424th Air Base Squadron commander, expressed his gratitude for the local farming community and his desire to continue to build on their partnership.
U.S. Air Force Airmen from the 424th Air Base Squadron fire station give a demonstration to local farmers at Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe Airfield-Chièvres Air Base, Belgium, Oct. 11. The farmers were given an opportunity to use the department’s specialty tools, ride in fire trucks and participate in a fire extinguishing simulation as part of the 424th ABS appreciation for their support.
The 424 Air Base Squadron takes a group of local farmers to the air traffic control tower at Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe Airfield-Chièvres Air Base, Belgium, Oct. 11. While there the group was able to watch the 37th Airlift Squadron from Ramstein Air Base practice cargo aerial drop maneuvers as an example of why this flight line is crucial for NATO’s mission readiness.
