An 86th Medical Support Squadron Airman received the honor of being Airlifter of the week, Dec. 13, 2018.

The 86th Airlift Wing commander and command chief lauded Airman 1st Class Sara Sparks, 86th Medical Support Squadron, for her professionalism and service.

Sparks, who has been in the Air Force for just over a year, is credited with filling a noncommissioned officer in charge position since April 2018. She processes all deployment waivers, Line of Duty requests, and is the sole Casualty Assistance Liaison for the 86th AW.

She was also praised by the Kaiserslautern Military Community First Sergeants Association as being one of the best briefers from a young grade that they have ever had.

“I feel very grateful and appreciative of my leadership,” said the Colorado native. “They’ve really helped me along the way.”

The Airlifter of the Week program recognizes Ramstein Airmen who through their hard work and dedication make the 86th AW the World’s Best Wing.
