Airmen participate in Vigorous Warrior 19

CINCU, Romania — Approximately 45 Airmen from the 86th Medical Group, Ramstein Air Base, Germany, and 12 participants from Naval Forces Europe Force Medical team participated April 8 to 11 in exercise Vigorous Warrior 19, a NATO-led multinational exercise at Cincu Military Base, Romania.

Exercise Vigorous Warrior is NATO’s largest medical readiness exercise. During the two-week event, U.S. service members joined approximately 2,500 participants from 38 countries, exercising experimental doctrinal concepts, training in a multi­national environment, and testing their medical assets, which include medical evacuations, preventative medicine, civilian/military cooperation and other niche capabilities.

Through strengthened relationships and engagements with our allies at events such as Vigorous Warrior 19, the United States and NATO demonstrate their shared commitment to a peaceful, stable and secure Europe.
