Allied Strike prepares JTACs


Senior Airman Richard Garrett, a Tactical Air Control Party ROMAD from the 1st Air Support Operations Squadron, secures his position Aug. 3 during Allied Strike IV in Grafenwöhr, Germany. Allied Strike is a weeklong multi-service, multi-national exercise run by the 4th Air Support Operations Squadron out of Heidelberg, Germany, designed to prepare joint terminal attack controllers for deployments in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. The 4th ASOG’s battlefield Airmen recently became a part of one of the Air Force’s newest wings – the 435th Air Ground Operations Wing, headquartered at Ramstein.
