Austria: A winter wonderland

The wonderful Alps, stretching for a distance of about 1,200 kilometers, reach from Southern France  almost as far as Vienna, Austria. The Alps are a magical place full of choice.

And this choice is not only evident to the first-time visitor, it is also well known to seasoned veterans. There is the choice of the season in which to enjoy your vacation, the choice of countries to visit and the choice of accommodation.
Assuming you choose Austria as a general destination, here are a few recommendations.

The Tyrol is a land of personality. It is a part of the Alps where, once visited, most people will return again and again.

The Alps is a place where most skiers, or non-skiers, can have all they desire: steep, challenging slopes with fresh powder snow, good slopes for practicing what you have already learned or gentle slopes for the beginner.

You can stay in a luxurious, yet economically priced hotel, which probably has all the conveniences you desire. You can, on the other hand, stay in a small pension with a family atmosphere. Or, you can care for yourselves in a condo or apartment.
For skiers, it’s all here – great ski schools with English speaking instructors, kindergartens where the children will not only be taught how to ski, but where they can be left so Mom and Dad can have the whole day free, lift pass prices that are favorable compared to anywhere in Europe, and après-ski, which is legendary.
Probably Austria’s greatest selling point is the atmosphere – its personality, or “Gemütlichkeit.” Each village has its own personality, its own character. Each one usually is dominated by a beautiful church in its center.

We will help you to make the right choice for your next, or your first ski vacation.
One of the biggest skiing areas in the Tyrol, in the heart of the Alps, is the world-famous Kitzbühel region, with countless possibilities for Alpine skiers and cross-country skiing.

Tyrolian Tours has a lot to offer when it comes to ski holidays.
Tyrolian Tours is situated in the heart of ski country, a stone’s throw from the key resorts of Kitzbühel and St.Johann/Tyrol, and still close to the city attractions of Salzburg, Innsbruck and Munich.

Tyrolian Tours offers instruction, both in groups or for individuals, by English speaking, trained ski instructors, and for all levels of skiers.
The rates and quality of accommodation equal anything found in other Central European ski centers.

And, very important for parents, at all Tyrolian Tours resorts, ski lessons/ski kindergartens are offered for children from the age of 4 years. And, for your infants, nursery facilities are available.

A lack of equipment is no hindrance. All the necessary ski and snowboard equipment (except clothing) can be rented at substantially reduced prices for Tyrolian Tours guests from ski shops in our villages.

If one still has energy remaining after a full day on the ski slopes, there is adequate opportunity for lively night life. Whether you want to get a good workout, are thinking about trying a sport for the first time or just want to experience the wonder that is Austria, Tyrolian Tours will give you an experience you won’t soon forget.
