Baltic allies train with 435 CTS

The HAZMAT course was part of a Foreign Military Sales case that came with an Estonian, Latvian, and Lithuanian purchase of firefighting equipment. To fulfill certification on the purchased equipment, Air Advisors from the 435th Contingency Response Support Squadron coordinated training between the 435 CTS and the Baltics’ armed forces members.

Members of the Baltic States’ armed forces were instructed on proper decontamination processes that would occur after potential exposure to hazardous materials. Following the completion of the course, members were certified on proper HAZMAT protocols.

Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian armed forces members worked with 435 CTS U.S. Air Forces in Europe fire academy trainers to become certified on proper HAZMAT procedures.
