Kaiserslautern sport enthusiasts will be able to enjoy winter fun on the ice starting today.

A pre-Christmas arts and crafts exhibition will take place Saturday and
Sunday at the Ramstein-Miesenbach culture and convention center, Haus
des Bürgers.

Every second Wednesday in November, the village of Quirnbach holds its
traditional horse market. The event will include a horse show with
awards, vendors, food specialties, musical entertainment and a raffle.

During the cold season, vehicle owners without their own garage like to
idle their engines. Motorists run their engines in order to avoid
scraping ice and snow from their windshields and to warm up the interior
of the vehicle. Doing this creates unnecessary pollution in the
neighborhood.
