For the 16th year, the Rheinland-Pfalz Agricultural Chamber of
Kaiserslautern and the City of Ramstein-Miesenbach will sponsor their
annual farmers market Sunday, a day when Germans celebrate their
Thanksgiving. The market will feature more than 30 farmers and vendors
presenting their products, an animal show, a historical tractor display,
demonstrations, and musical entertainment from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Stores
will be open from 1 to 6 p.m.

Germany will observe its Unification Day Wednesday. Every year on Oct.
3, stores, banks and official institutions are closed throughout the
country in observance of this legal holiday.

The wine village of Freinsheim will sponsor a culinary hike on its wine hiking trail today to Sunday.

A heart-warming and bittersweet comedy,

Bad Münster am Stein/Ebernburg will hold its 26th Medieval Market with
jousting tournaments today through Sunday. In the center of town, a
craftsmen market with more than 100 stands will be set up.

After three successful years and a growing number of participants, the
fourth culinary hike will take place Saturday and Sunday in Rodenbach.
