A street theater festival of its own kind is scheduled to take place today through Sunday in Kaiserslautern.

A free science fiction convention takes place from noon to 6 p.m. Nov. 3 at Club Eifel here.

The Gartenschau Kaiserslautern will celebrate its annual summer night
fest Saturday. Starting at 6 p.m., the whole park will turn into
festival grounds presenting musicians, fire dancers and food
specialties. Bands will perform on stages near the entrance, on
Kaiserberg hill and in Neumühlepark.

The view of the Falkenstein castle ruins is already spectacular on
approach via the windy roads up the hill. The legendary ruins sit atop
this steep hill and overlook

the wild and scenic valley of Falkenstein.

The community of Fischbach will hold its 29th annual charcoal burner
festival today to Sunday, and Wednesday to July 28. The event will take
