A street theater festival of its own kind is scheduled to take place
today through Sunday in Kaiserslautern. For the fourth year,
Lebenshilfe Kaiserslautern (an association for mentally disabled
persons) will sponsor the event called
Comedian icon D.L. Hughley will perform free for adult ID cardholders
Monday at the Ramstein Enlisted Club. The show will be headed up by
Armed Forces Entertainment and the 86th Services Squadron.
Landstuhl will hold its annual Sickingen May market today through Monday.
Traditionally, the Landstuhl Brass Orchestra will open the event at 4
p.m. with a concert at Neuen Markt. Following, deputy mayor Thomas
Pletsch will welcome all visitors in an official opening speech at 4:30
p.m.
The Garden Fair Kaiserslautern has expanded. In spring, construction of
a new exhibition and event hall started, and Monday, parts of the
1,000-square-meter building officially opened.
