Classic cars in K-town Saturday

The center of Kaiserslautern offers a route through the history of cars
Saturday. The second Kaiserslautern Classics display will be set up
from 10 a.m. to midnight on Martinsplatz, around Stiftskirche, on
Schillerplatz and Altenhof. Vintage vehicles, newer cars, motorcycles
and utility vehicles will be presented. In front of Karstadt,
historical fire trucks can be admired. On the parking lot right next to
the department store, police vehicles and tractors will be on display.

Every year on the second Saturday of August, this year being Aug. 9,
about 500,000 guests will witness the most magnificent spectacle of the
Mosel. The Rhine Aflame festival will light up the countryside on
Saturday in Koblenz. For the event, castles, old half-timbered houses
and the Rhine shore will be illuminated. Up to 10 fireworks displays
will top off the celebrations along the river between Braubach, Spay
and Koblenz.
