U.S. Air Forces in Europe Airmen participated in a weeklong Silver Flag
exercise here July 5 through 13. This particular exercise featured two
Azerbaijanis who were here to soak up all the knowledge they can to
bring it back to their fellow service members in their country.

Soldiers at U.S. Army Garrison Kaiserslautern showed their appreciation
for their local commissary by adding groceries to their morning physical
training.
Dozens of troops took part in Commissary Appreciation Day, held June 24
at the Vogelweh Commissary. The garrison

organizations, except as required by official business:
Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates announced the presidential nomination
of Golden Gate University graduate, Brig. Gen. Jimmie Jaye Wells for
promotion to the rank of major general and his selection as commander of
