WASHINGTON (AFNS)

Faced with imminent danger, a crew of security forces members burst
through the front doors of the elementary school and saved a young
(simulated) hostage in a matter of moments. They then successfully
neutralized the would-be attackers.

We had passed the shabby indoor pool building on Kaiserstrasse in
Landstuhl hundreds of times as we headed for work or the commissary and
never thought of stopping.

Three American Soldiers from Landstuhl Regional Medical Center walked
into Andreas Stube, the great little German pub in the center of old
Landstuhl, and sat at one of the four tables.

Another day of classic German weather

Summer is here and as the weather warms up, we become more active. The
bad news is so do ticks. Ticks are arachnids, closely related to spiders
and scorpions. Ticks are also carriers of several diseases, including
anaplasmosis, babesiosis, ehrlichiosis,   lyme disease, Rocky Mountain
spotted fever, as well as other spotted fevers, and southern
tick-associated rash illness.
