Survival tips for the Wednesday soccer match

Ramstein went beyond, taking home first place trophies in every male and female weight class entered as well as the coveted Best Male Lifter and Team honors Saturday at the U.S. Forces Europe Powerlifting Championships.

The Kaiserslautern American High School Red Raiders boys basketball team defeated the Ramstein Royals 47-41 Feb. 3. Ramstein was leading 23-19 at halftime, but Kaiserslautern put together a 28 point 2nd half (aided by good foul shooting) to earn the Division I contest. High scorers for Ramstein were Junior A.J. Hawkins with 14 points followed by Seniors Allen Weaver with 10 and Trey Dulaney with 6.

The K-Town Kingfish, poised to take back the division championships from the SHAPE Seals in the Jan. 28 meet, took the lead midway through the competition, swam hard and never gave their opponent an opportunity to take the lead, making the Kingfish the division champs.

KMC spouse Robin Houck made a confession from the stands as water splashed along the edge of the Kaiserslautern School Centrum South 25-meter pool.
