CC-Air was undefeated coming into the games and 435th MMS only registered one loss all season. That loss happened to be against CC-Air three days earlier in the double-elimination tournament and happened in overtime on penalty kicks.

“It was great; we truly had the best team from each league pitted against each other,” said Tammy Johnson, Ramstein Southside Fitness Center intramural director.

435th MMS started the day off with a bang. They were energized and cruised to a 3-1 win in the first game to even the series. They got a big game from Ranson Coleman who netted two goals.

“We were running good in the first game and we beat them to almost every ball,” said Coleman.

The second game was a diferent story, as CC-Air displayed their stamina and shutout MMS 2-0 to take the championship.

The win was special for CC-Air player/manager Chris Peters because it will be his last with the team after three seasons.

“We have been trying to do this for the last three years and we always came so close,” said Peters. “This was like the final thing on the out-processing checklist.”
