The KMC Catholic Faith Community Parish Picnic will be Sunday at Donnelly Park. Mass will be at 10 a.m., followed by a potluck picnic.  Entertainment, fellowship and meats will be provided. In case of rain, Mass will be at 12:30 p.m., followed by lunch in the Ramstin North Chapel. If you would like to be part of the hospitality team for the picnic, call 480-5855 or 06371-47-5855.

The Protestant Women of the Chapel will host their Fall Kick Off from 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 8 at the Kapaun Chapel. Fall studies will be introduced for the Ramstein, Vogelweh and Landstuhl studies, as well as this year’s PWOC national theme.  All women are invited to attend.  Childcare will be provided and a light dinner will be served. The USAG-K Chaplain’s Office hosts the Daenner Chapel Catholic Community Annual Parish Picnic and Outdoor Mass at 11:30 a.m. Sept. 7 at Pulaski Park on Pulaski Barracks. Registration for religious education classes will take place during the picnic.
The USAG-K Chaplain’s Office hosts a September 11 Prayer Remembrance 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 11 at the garrison chapel on Daenner Kaserne. Classes and training
Conversational German classes on three levels will meet at the following locations, dates and times:

ROB Army Education Center (Bldg. 285, Classroom 1)
• Level 1 begins Aug. 25, 9 to 11 a.m. Monday and Wednesday
• Level 2 begins Aug. 26, 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday and Thursday
• Level 3 begins Aug. 26, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday and Wednesday

Landstuhl Army Education
Center (Bldg. 3701)
• Level 1 begins Aug. 25, 5 to 7 p.m. Monday and Wednesday
• Level 2 begins Aug. 26, 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday
• Level 3 begins Aug. 26, 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday

Family Advocacy will host 1-2-3 Magic from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 9 in Bldg. 2121’s first floor conference room. This class will focus on effective discipline for children, age 2 to 12. The deadline to graduate in the fall for CCAF is Aug. 29. CCAF must receive all documentation for degree candidate submissions on or before this date, to be considered for the October 2008 class. Questions on CCAF should be directed to  Ramstein Education Center at 480-2032.

The monthly AF Commissioning Briefing will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Bldg. 2120, Room 415. Those interested in applying for AF Academy, LEAD, SOAR, ROTC, AECP, and/or OTS, should attend this briefing; find out about eligibility criteria and application procedures. No appointment required. Scholarship for Outstanding Airmen to Reserve Officer Training Corps commissioning packages must be completed and turned into Ramstein Education Center by COB Sept. 1. The SOAR program is open to students in any academic major-normal ROTC programs are only open to technical majors. Attend the monthly commissioning briefing to find out the details in applying for this program.

The Airman & Family Readiness Center continues its Marriage Mechanics series Sept. 19 with “Show Me the Money,” a workshop to help you discover your money personality. For details, call 480-5100.

The German-American Friendship Association Siegelbach starts German classes for beginners and advanced students Sept. 2 and 4. The cost for 15 class sessions is €70. Registration is 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays and 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays, starting Saturday at the Siegelbach Hauptschule.
