Civic leader visit

***image1***The U.S. Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany, Daniel Coats and his wife Marsha met with Becky Langsford, Indianapolis City-County Council District 21, and Maj. Gen. Martin Umbarger, Indiana adjutant general, near a static display of U.S. Air Forces in Europe aircraft outside the Ramstein Passenger Terminal Aug. 27. The visitors were part of an Indiana National Guard-sponsored civic leader visit that stopped at Ramstein to learn about the USAFE mission on their way to visit 650 Indiana troops of the 152nd Mechanized Infantry serving in Bosnia. As a former member of Congress, the ambassador represented the state of Indiana in the U.S. Senate from 1989 to 1999, and in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1981 to 1988.
