Classes and training



Come develop and improve your communication skills and learn to build stronger family relationships at summer parenting classes from 4:30 to 6 p.m. July to September at the Southside Chapel, Bldg. 2403 on Ramstein. The classes are presented by the Adolescent Substance Abuse Counseling Services and Pediatric Behavioral Medicine. Class dates: July 15, orientation and refreshments; July 29, family communication; Aug. 5, parental monitoring; Aug. 19, being a good role model; Sept. 2, use of appropriate and consistent discipline; Sept. 16, effects adn warning signs of substance abuse; and Sept. 30, taking a clear stand on drugs.

Army Community Service will be rescheduling the English as a Second Language classes. Both beginner classes and intermediate classes will not be offered from June 18 through Aug. 2. Intermediate classes will start back on Aug. 6 and beginner classes will start back on Aug. 9. For more information on these classes, call 493-4064 or 0631-3406-4064.


The Emergency Placement Care program is committed to providing the KMC with high quality EPC providers who will give 24-hour, in home, short term care that is loving and safe for children whose parents are unable to care for them. U.S. Army Garrison Kaiserslautern’s FMWR Army Community Service Financial Readiness Program offers “Managing Your Assets” at 9 a.m. the third Tuesday of each month in Bldg. 2923 on Pulaski Barracks. The Kaiserslautern’s Army Career and Alumni Program Office hosts pre-separation briefings from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Monday through Friday in Room 207,
Bldg. 3245 on Kleber Kaserne. These briefings are mandatory and provide the required paperwork for separation and retirement orders. Soldiers must attend a briefing no later than 90 days prior to separating from the Army. Retired Soldiers and their spouses are entitled to ACAP assistance for life.
