The American Red Cross will hold a Community CPR/AED/First Aid class from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Call 480-2171 to register.  The 435th Air Base Wing commander has established cut-off dates for submission of  purchase request packages to the 700th Contracting Squadron.  Unit commanders and leaders should prepare now to organize their fiscal-year end spending. 

To assist commanders in their year-end planning, 700th CONS will conduct specialized training for unit resource advisors, government purchase card approving officials and others who routinely submit purchase requests. All applicable personnel should attend one of the following two training sessions Monday at the USAFE Conference Center Foulois Room, Bldg. 306A: from 9 to 11 a.m or from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Registration is not required. Direct any questions to Sharon Mendez at 489-6716.

The Kaiserslautern Transition Center holds Pre-Separation Briefings (Aug. 4, Sept. 8, Oct. 6, Nov. 3, Dec. 1) and Pre-Retirement Briefings (Aug. 15 and Nov. 21). These briefings are held at the Transition Center on Kleber Kaserne, Bldg. 3245, Room 6. The Pre-Separation Briefings should be attended between 60 and 90 days out from separation date. Reservations are not necessary for the Pre-Separation Briefing. For those wishing to attended the Pre-Retirement Briefing, call 483-7071/7380 or 0631411-7071/7380.

Family Advocacy will host 1-2-3 Magic from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 5 and 19, and Sept. 9 in Bldg. 2121’s first floor conference room. This class will focus on effective discipline for children, age 2 to 12. Come join us for one session to learn how to lower your parenting stress. University of Phoenix is welcoming students to register for master of business administration and master of arts in education programs. Face-to-face courses are held at Kapaun and registration has already started for the fall term. Courses start Aug. 26. Term 1 undergraduate registration for Central Texas College, Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and the University of Maryland will begin Aug. 4.
