No Cook Fridays in March at Armstrong’s Club

Take the load off yourself, family or friends after a long week with No Cook Fridays! Get your weekend started right with a delicious meal this Friday night that you didn’t have to plan, prepare, cook and clean up after. Enjoy a new menu in March from Chef Valeri of the Hideaway Bistro & Grill with options for everyone! Choose from chicken filet with creamy herb mushroom sauce, mashed potatoes & broccoli ($11), honey garlic pork chop with butter roasted carrots & baked potatoes ($12), Tuscan salmon with spicy rice ($13), stuffed zucchini with tomato sauce ($9), child’s mini Margherita pizza ($5.50), mixed greens salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, corn, carrots & balsamic dressing ($7), and a rich dessert of a slice of cheesecake with strawberry jam ($6).  Meals can be picked up between 5 and 7:30 p.m. Register and pay through WebTrac or any MWR facility is required by the close of business the Thursday before. Easter Lunch to-go from Armstrong’s Club

Don’t pass up your Easter tradition of getting Easter lunch this year, just get it to-go! Enjoy a three course meal and fill your table at home with a mixed green garden salad with Italian dressing, buns, potato gratin, rice, antipasti vegetables, both roasted beef in thyme sauce and chicken breast filets in mushroom sauce and a chocolate pudding with vanilla sauce for dessert. You can make sure you have enough by ordering your meal through Webtrac (required before the close of business Apr. 3) for two ($40), five ($100) or ten people ($180). Youth Sports & Fitness looking for volunteer coaches

Both the Baumholder and Kaiserslautern Youth Sports Programs are seeking those that have a passion for sports and enjoy coaching and mentoring young athletes for the upcoming spring season. Support the community’s youth by sharing your skills and experience coaching archery, baseball, coach pitch, cross country, golf, softball, soccer, T-ball and track and field. Not only are you helping the youth and community as a whole, you can also collect volunteer hours towards promotions and awards and receive special discounts for your own children enrolled in sports activities. Blended Learning Lifeguard Course. Become a certified lifeguard with the Blended Learning Lifeguard Course at the Aquatic Center

Becoming a lifeguard has never been easier with your classroom training now online, get it done anywhere and when it works best for you! Finish off your certification in the pool once your online coursework is completed. Must be 16 years of age or older and pass the swim prerequisites of a 300 meter continuous swim, two minutes treading water with no hands, a timed swim with a 10 pound weight. Pulaski Automotive Skills Drop-Off Services Available

Don’t have time to sit around and wait for your oil change or tire service? Either stop by the Pulaski Automotive Skills Center between 8 and 9 a.m. Mon – Fri to drop your vehicle off for service or you can make an appointment prior for drop off. Staff will provide you with a time before 4 p.m. that same day to pick-up your vehicle. Virtual German Hunting Course with Baumholder Outdoor Recreation:

Don’t believe the rumors that you cannot pursue your hobby of hunting or owning firearms in Germany! Register today for the German Hunting Course with Baumholder Outdoor Recreation starting Feb. 20. Over the eight week course you will cover all facets of hunting in Germany with material covering everything from land management, game disease, harvest plans as well as how you earn the right to hunt and own firearms in Germany with this lifelong certification. Course is open to U.S. ID cardholders ages 18 and over and will be required to pass background checks. Take advantage of the convenience of the newest VAT office on Vogelweh Housing at Armstrong’s Club, Bldg. 1036! Open Mon, Wed & Fri 10 a.m.-5 p.m., closed between 1-2 p.m. for lunch. All the VAT Offices located in both Baumholder and Kaiserslautern have services Mon-Fri. on an appointment only basis. UTAP services on Kleber Kaserne are by virtual appointment only. Sembach Java Café reopening for takeout

The Sembach Java Café has reopened their doors for takeout and in honor of the occasion, will be offering specials for the month of February. Early risers can take advantage of the Early Bird Specials (6:30 – 7 a.m.): Tall coffee for $.99 or a tall cappuccino or latte for $1.99. Add a Danish to either for $2. Avoid post- lunch drowsiness with the Afternoon Special from 1-1:30 p.m. offering a grande cappuccino or latte with a cookie for $2.99. Service with the Kleber and Baumholder UTAP offices is now available Mon-Fri. Please note, no more than three customers are allowed in the Baumholder office at a time and only one at a time at the Kleber Location.
