NAF Sale

Family and MWR is having a Non-Appropriated Funds (NAF) Sale on Friday, April 17 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Bldg. 141 on Sembach Kaserne. All items are as is and all sales are final. This event is only open to U.S. ID cardholders. Non-affiliated civilians or retirees can’t participate in the NAF sale because of Custom requirements. Month of the Military Child Storyland Gala

The Baumholder Library, in partnership with the Landstuhl Library, Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers, the Rheinlander Community Club, and other community partners will host the Month of the Military Child Storyland Gala on Saturday, April 18, from noon to 3 p.m. at the Rheinlander Community Club, Bldg. 8085 on Smith Barracks in Baumholder. The event invites families to step into a storybookthemed celebration honoring the resilience and creativity of military children. Parents and children are encouraged to dress in formal attire or storybookinspired costumes. The gala will feature music, dancing, interactive Storyland activities and more. Food will be available for purchase. Registration is not required but encouraged to support event planning. 

Thursday Night Comedy Show

Desiree Burch headlines the Thursday Night Comedy Show April 23 from 8 to 10 p.m. at the Armstrong’s Club, Bldg. 10 36 on Vogelweh Housing. Feature Comedian is David Gamble Jr. Host is local comedian Erin Crouch. This is an 18+ event. Doors open at 7 p.m., tickets are $10 at the door.  Payment can be made with credit and debit cards or U.S dollars. MOMC Family Fun Event

U.S. Army Rheinland-Pfalz Family and MWR is hosting a Month of the Military Child Family Fun Event on Saturday, April 25 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Pulaski Park on Pulaski Barracks.  This event is in partnership with Ramstein Child & Youth Programs, with collaboration with the USO. It is open to children and their parents. Activities will consist of various games & activities for children, five and older, food (for purchase), performances by SKIES dance classes, and demonstrations by Youth Sports. Landstuhl Youth Center Summer Trips

Get ready for the best summer ever! The Landstuhl Youth Center is offering a summer trip series that’s all about fun, friends, and adventure. From the week of June 15 through the week of Aug. 10, they’ll lead exciting excursions twice a week. Registration opens Monday, May 18, and runs thru the summer. Participants can look forward to new places, new experiences, and even two multi-day trips, making it a summer they’ll never forget! Grill & Chill with BOSS

Join BOSS every first and third Friday to “Grill & Chill” at the Baumholder Recreation Center, Bldg. 8218 on Smith Barracks in Baumholder. The next one is Friday, April 17. The evening starts at 6 p.m. BOSS members will bring their own meat or meat alternative, seasonings, sides and grill their food. BOSS provides grill, propane and major grilling utensils. Southern Rock Live Concert

The Kazabra Club will host a live performance by Cherry Wing on Friday, April 17, at Bldg. 2057 on Vogelweh. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the event runs until 1 a.m. The band takes the stage at 9 p.m. Cherry Wing delivers a highenergy mix of Southern rock, blues rock and country, covering artists from Creedence Clearwater Revival and ZZ Top to Marcus King and 49 Winchester. The fourpiece group is known for its rootsdriven sound built for loud amps and packed rooms. Admission is $15 at the door or $12 for advance tickets. The Musical “Piper” Performance

KMC Onstage presents the Musical “Piper” for the Month of the Military Child on April 17 to 19 at the KMC Onstage, Bldg. 3232 on Kleber Kaserne. Showtimes are 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday. Piper, is a new musical written by local military spouse Avril Callicutt. This world premiere musical is a fresh retelling of the Pied Piper of Hamelin full of twists and turns featuring a mixed cast of adults and children.  Cost of tickets are $18 adults and $16 for ages 2-18, 65+ or students. Free Line-Dancing Lessons

Free linedancing lessons will be offered on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month at the Kazabra Club. Bldg. 2057 on Vogelweh. The sessions run from 8 to 9 p.m. in Bldg. 2057 and are open to all skill levels. Participants can practice their new moves during Country Night immediately afterward, featuring music by DJ Caddy. Monday Vinyasa Yoga Class

May Car Show

The Car Show at Pulaski Park is scheduled for Saturday, May 9, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Registration is now through May 9, and participants must pay the $10 entry fee in person at any Automotive Skills Center on Pulaski Barracks, Landstuhl Post or Smith Barracks in Baumholder. The event features five judging categories: Best Jalopy, Best Muscle Car, Best OffRoad Vehicle, Best JDM and Best Old Timer, which requires vehicles to be at least 25 years old. Judging and prizes are open to all militaryaffiliated ID card holders, including active duty, reserve, retired, veterans, family members and DOD, DA and DAF civilians, regardless of SOFA status. Introduction to Magic: The Gathering

Play at your own pace at the Introduction to Magic: The Gathering held the first Saturday of the month from noon to 3 p.m. at the Baumholder Recreation Center, Bldg. 8218 on Smith Barracks. This is for ages 13 to 17.  Find out more at baumholder.armymwr.com.

BOSS 1000/500 Pound Club

The Kaiserslautern Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers’ program has launched the new, allinclusive 1000/500 Pound Club challenge, offering public recognition in participating physical fitness centers on Kleber Kaserne, Sembach Kaserne and Rhine Ordnance Barracks. Participants who qualify will also receive personalized training support. The recurring event runs through Sep. 15, with monthly sessions held from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Kleber on the first Tuesday, Sembach on the second Tuesday and ROB on the third Tuesday. BOSS eligible Soldiers can scan the QR code at kaiserslautern.armymwr.com to join the club.

School Age Summer Camps

Registration is now open for the Army Family and MWR Child and Youth Services School Age Programs’ Operation – Best Me Mission Ready.” The program offers nine weeks of care services from June 15 to Aug 14. These camps are for School Age Centers on Wetzel Kaserne, Landstuhl Post or Sembach Kaserne. Kaiserslautern Part-Day Preschool

Kaiserslautern Child and Youth Services is enrolling children ages 3 to 5 in a new partday preschool program running from 9 a.m. to noon at Landstuhl CDC 1, Kleber CDC and Sembach CDC. Families may join the waitlist through militarychildcare.com. Program options include two days a week (Tuesday and Thursday), three days (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) or five days (Monday through Friday). Fees are based on household fee categories.
