Armstrong’s Club to Host Mother’s Day Buffet

Armstrong’s Club will be hosting a Mother’s Day Buffet on May 11 in the club’s ballroom, Bldg. 1036 on Vogelweh Housing. Seating times are 10 a.m. to noon, and 1 to 3 p.m. Reservation deadline is May 8. The cost of the buffet is €29 for those who are 18 and older, €16 for ages 12 to 17, €6 for ages 6 to 11, and free for children under the age of 5. Thursday Night Comedy Show

South African Comedian featured on the Netflix show Only Jokes Allowed, Gilli Apter, headlines the Thursday Comedy Show May 15 from 8 to 10 p.m. at the Kazabra Club, Bldg. 2057 on Vogelweh. Host is Erin Crouch. The show will feature special guests. This is an 18+ event. Doors open at 7 p.m., tickets are $15 at the door.  Payment can be made with credit and debit cards or U.S dollars. Earnest Harris Memorial Car Show

Five categories will be judged at the Earnest Harris Memorial Car Show, held May 17 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Pulaski Auto Skills Center, Bldg. 2859 on Pulaski Barracks. Latin Nights at the Rheinlander!

The last Friday of the month is Latin Night, starting April 25, from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., in the ballroom of the Rheinlander Community Club, Bldg. 8085 on Smith Barracks. The Salsa Band Borinkuba will perform live several Latin music favorites, such as Salsa, Merengue and Bachata. Food is available from 8 to 11 p.m. This event is for those 18 and older, who are I.D. card holders. No cover charge. Strong B.A.N.D.S. Campaign

The U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz Family and MWR Strong B.A.N.D.S. Campaign will showcase events for the Baumholder and Kaiserslautern Military Communities from May 1 to June 7. STRONG B.A.N.D.S. – STRONG Balance, Activity, Nutrition, Determination and Strength — promotes healthy, active lifestyles for Army communities. It helps motivate Army Soldiers, Families, Retirees and Civilians to get and stay fit. Summer Tire Mounting & Balance Special

Baumholder, Landstuhl and Pulaski Auto Skills Centers are offering Summer Tire Mounting and Balance Special during May. The special is 10 percent off mounting and balancing of tires when utilizing their Speedy Lube tire services or when performing the mounting and balancing in the self-help sections. Call any of the three Auto Skills Centers to schedule a summer tire change. For the do-it-yourselfers, crafts shop bays are first-come first-serve. Yoga Basics & Breath Work & Meditation

Dive into the elements of yoga with this Yoga Basics class followed by 30 minutes of breath work and meditation Saturday, May 3, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Massage and Yoga Studio, Bldg. 2899 on Pulaski Barracks. Mosaic Workshop

The Armstrong’s Club is hosting a “A World of Pieces” Mosaic Workshop May 8 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the club, Bldg. 1036 on Vogelweh Housing. Cost is $45 per person. Price includes a complimentary drink. USAG RP Volunteer Recognition Ceremony

Volunteers from all around the Garrison will be celebrated and recognized for their amazing contributions to our community throughout 2024 at the Volunteer Recognition Ceremony April 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Sembach Community Activity Center, Bldg. 220 on Sembach Kaserne. Invitations will be sent out to honored attendees: 2024 Garrison Volunteers, Organization Points of Contact, Leadership and Command Team. The event is open to Department of Defense ID Card holders and admission is free. Attire is Business or Dress Uniform. MOMC Family Fun Faire

Join us to celebrate the Month of the Military Child on Saturday, April 26 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Pulaski Park on Pulaski Barracks. Activities will consist of various games and activities for kids of all ages (5 and up), food (for purchase), performances by SKIES dance classes and demonstration by Youth Sports. Free Dance Lessons at Armstrong’s Club

The new open sessions of free beginner dance lessons is every Wednesday from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Armstrong’s Club, Bldg. 1036 on Vogelweh Housing. The focus is Country Two Step, Swing and Line Dance. Ten other styles are also available upon request. No experience necessary. New sessions are: Now to May 14; May 21 to June 18; and July 9 to Aug. 6. Wear smooth bottom shoes. The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon

The Award-Winning KMC Onstage presents “The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon” April 18, 19 and 20 at the KMC Onstage Studio, in the Kaiserslautern Community Activity Center on Daenner Kaserne. Show are Fridays at 7 p.m., Saturdays at 2 and 7 p.m., and Sundays at 2 p.m. Advance purchase of tickets is $16 and $14, for ages 2 to 18, and those 65 and older. Outdoor Recreation Cycling Challenge

The Ultimate Outdoor Recreation Cycling Challenge is here! The challenge is for riders to conquer 1,000km (621 miles) in just four months. Riders can challenge themselves, explore new trails, and push their limits from May 1 to Aug. 31. Registration is open until April 30. Wibit Inflatable Obstacle Course

The Aquatic Center, Bldg. 8897/95 on Wetzel Kaserne in Baumholder, has a Wibit inflatable Obstacle Course for rent. Register with Landstuhl Youth Center

The Landstuhl Youth Center (LYC) is a facility for youth in grades 6th-12th that offers a wide range of programs and activities Monday through Friday, after school. This free program is available to youth who have a military affiliation in Germany. Homeschooled youth, and youth who attend either a German or DODEA school are welcome to join.
