1000 Books Before Kindergarten

The Baumholder “Iron Works” Library, Bldg. 8332 on Smith Barracks, is encouraging families to register for the “1000 Books before Kindergarten Challenge.”  This challenge is a Library Program that encourages all families and caregivers to read at least 1000 books with their young children before they enter Kindergarten. All You Can Eat Lunch Buffet at the Rheinlander

The Rheinlander Convention Center, Bldg. 8085 on Smith Barracks in Baumholder, now has “All You Can Eat Lunch Buffet” every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options. Friday Pool Tournament

The Landstuhl Community Club hosts a pool tournament Friday, Feb. 18 at the club, Bldg. 3780 on Landstuhl Post. Sign-up is at 6 p.m., with the tournament beginning at 6:30 p.m.  Contestants must be 18 years or older. This is a 2G+ event. The Baumholder Warrior Zone hosts a Cornhole Tournament Feb. 20 from 4 to 9 p.m. at the Warrior Zone, Bldg. 8218 on Smith Barracks. Entrance fee is $10 per player.  Individuals will need to complete a pre-registration form prior to event to facilitate bracket planning. Boys and Girls Clubs of America Art Show

The Child and Youth Services are hosting the free Annual Boys and Girls Clubs of America Art Show from Feb. 22 to Feb. 25 in the ballroom at the Landstuhl Community Club, Bldg. 3780 on Landstuhl Post. Red, White and Screaming Comedy Show

Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream Performances

KMC Onstage Studio Shows presents Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream Friday, Feb. 25 and March 4 at 7 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 26 and 27, and March 5 and 6 at 2 p.m. in the Kaiserslautern Community Activity Center, Bldg. 3109 on Daenner Kaserne. Spring Youth Sports Registration

Registration for the U.S. Army’s spring youth sports season is open now until Feb. 28 or when teams are full.  Sports available are baseball, golf, softball, soccer, and track and field and are for ages 5 to 15. Cost is $65. A Health Assessment/Sports Physical must be on file prior to initial practice. Come on an “Adventure in Bookland” with the Landstuhl Library. 2022 Spring Season Youth Sports

Registration for the spring season for youth sports for the Baumholder community is open now until  March 13. Sports offered are baseball, ages 5 to 15, and Track & Field, ages 8 to 15, which cost $60. Skill Development Clinics cost $45 and are for golf, ages 8 to 15, and Archery, ages 9 to 18. Sports physicals/health assessments must be on file and current in order to participate. 2022 Start Smart Spring Season

Registration for the spring season for Start Smart soccer and T-Ball for the Baumholder community is open now until March 13. Both sports are for ages 3 to 4. Unit Level Volleyball Season

ACS Job Fair

Army Community Service is hosting a Job Fair March 10 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Hall of Champions Fitness Center, Bldg. 8105 on Smith Barracks in Baumholder.
