Build Legos at the Baumholder Library

The Baumholder “Iron Works” Library welcomes Lego builders of all ages to learn, challenge and create July 30 at 1 p.m. Building with LEGOs presents a number of challenges that call upon children’s creativity, persistence and social skills. Additionally, problem solving, critical thinking and engineering skills all come into play as children enjoy building with LEGO bricks. Baumholder Cool Down Crafts

Army Community Service’s Family Advocacy Program is hosting a Cool Down Crafts event in partnership with the Baumholder Arts and Crafts Center July 29 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Iron Park/Soldier Field on Smith Barracks in Baumholder. End of Summer Reading Program Party

The Baumholder Library is hosting a free “End of Summer Reading Program Party” for all ages Friday, July 29 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Rolling Hills Golf Course, Bldg. 8888 on Wetzel Kaserne. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Introduction to Cheerleading Registration

Landstuhl Youth Sports is offering registration for Introduction to Cheerleading for ages 5 to 7 now until July 29. This will be nine, three-week sessions held from Aug. 2 to 18. Music Friday Nights at Baumholder Warrior Zone

The Baumholder Warrior Zone is hosting a Music Friday Night with genre-themed music July 29 from 8 p.m. to midnight at the Warrior Zone, 8218 on Smith Barracks. The Baumholder “Iron Works” Library is promoting lifelong literacy by hosting a free “30 or More You Score!” incentive to expand horizons, explore new worlds and to win in the process until July 31. Baumholder Fall Youth Sports Registration

Registration for the Baumholder Fall Youth Sports Season is now until July 31. Sports are offered for ages 5 to 15. Cost varies per sport. Baumholder Fall Start Smart Registration

Registration for the Fall Start Smart Season for the Baumholder community is now until July 31. Sports offered are soccer and flag-football for ages 3 to 4. Cost is $25. Each offered sport will be six sessions over the course of three weeks. Start Smart is a Child/ Parent interactive program led by a CYS Sports & Fitness Specialist. “Resiliency through Art”

The Baumholder Arts and Crafts Center, Bldg. 8104 on Smith Barracks, has a “Resiliency through Art” program every Monday at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. The next one is Monday, Aug. 1. Cost is $5. Each session is about 1.5 hours. Art is a wonderful creative outlet for expression and can provide a great relief for anyone.
