Rolling Hills to Host July 4th Golf Scramble
Celebrate Independence Day on the greens at Rolling Hills with an 18-hole, two-person team scramble at the Rolling Hills Golf Course, Bldg. 8888 on Wetzel Kaserne. The event will tee off with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. on July 4. Golfers are encouraged to wear their best red, white and blue attire. Baumholder CYS Sports Summer Camp Registration
Registration for Baumholder Youth Sports Summer Camps is happening now to Sunday, June 29. Cost is $30 per child. Camps are: Basketball for ages 5-15 (July 7-10); Ultimate Golf for ages 9-15 (July 15-18); Volleyball for ages 9-15 (July 21-24); and Soccer for ages 5-15 (July 28-31). No sports physicals will be required. Thursday Night Comedy Show
From Slovenia, Anja Woot headlines the Thursday Comedy Show July 17 from 8 to 10 p.m. at the Kazabra Club, Bldg. 2057 on Vogelweh. Featured comedians are Mari Volar, a powerhouse on the European Comedy Circuit, and Joe Esch, from Pittsburgh, Pa. This is an 18+ event. Doors open at 7 p.m., tickets are $15 at the door. Army Community Service 60th Birthday
Army Community Service will turn 60 years old on July 25. A Midsummer Night’s Bowl
Celebrate the first night of summer with midnight bowling June 21 from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. at the Strikers Bowling Center, Bldg. 8185 on Smith Barracks. Ages 18 and older only. Cost is $18 per person, which includes unlimited bowling, shoes, finger foods and nonalcoholic beverages. The bar will be open during the event, and pajamas are encouraged.

SKIES Driver’s Education
SKIES Unlimited is offering Driver’s Education for ages 15 to 18. Registration now open. Cost is $350. Classes are July 14 to 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:40 p.m. Course includes 45 credit hours, theory and driver simulator training. All participants must be registered with Army MWR Child and Youth Services. Youth Fall Sports Enrollments
Youth Sports Fall enrollments are now to July 11, or until teams are full. Sports offered are: Pom Dance, Soccer, Flag Football, Cheer, Volleyball, Cross Country and Tackle Football. Cost is $65 and up. Minimum age requirements vary by sports. A Sports Physical good through Nov. 15 is required. School Age Summer Camps
Registration is now open for the Army Family and MWR Child and Youth Services School Age Programs’ Vision 2025 “Shaping Our Future” Summer Camps. The program offers nine weeks of care services from June 16 to Aug 11. Registration goes until the start of the last camp. These camps are for School Age Centers on Wetzel Kaserne, Landstuhl Post or Sembach Kaserne. Weekly Bike Rides with Outdoor Recreation
Baumholder Outdoor Recreation is offering “It’s almost Friday! Come ride with Outdoor Recreation” bike rides from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursdays happening now to Aug. 31. Trips depart and return at Baumholder Outdoor Recreation, Bldg. 8167 on Smith Barracks. Cost is $5 to rent a standard bike or $10 for an E-Bike. It is free if you bring your own bike. Register with Landstuhl Youth Center
The Landstuhl Youth Center is a facility for youth in grades 6th-12th that offers a wide range of programs and activities Monday through Friday, after school. This free program is available to youth who have a military affiliation in Germany. Homeschooled youth, and youth who attend either a German or DODEA school are welcome to join. Free Dance Lessons at Armstrong’s Club
The new open sessions of free beginner dance lessons is every Wednesday from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Armstrong’s Club, Bldg. 1036 on Vogelweh Housing. The focus is Country Two Step, Swing and Line Dance. Ten other styles are also available upon request. No experience necessary. Next session is July 9 to Aug. 6. Wear smooth bottom shoes. Rubber-soled athletic shoes are not ideal for dancing.
