Wave of Light Ceremony

In recognition of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, the Wave of Light Ceremony invites families, friends and loved ones who experienced loss of a child due to miscarriage, stillbirth, SIDS or other causes to join in honor and remembrance on Oct. 15, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Pulaski Chapel, Bldg. 2869 on Pulaski Barracks and the Rock Chapel, Bldg. 8249 on Smith Barracks in Baumholder.  Register in advance starting on Oct. 1 with the signup link on baumholder.armymwr.com or kaiserslautern.armymwr.com.

Thursday Night Comedy Show

Jordan Prince headlines the Thursday Comedy Show Oct. 1 from 8 to 10 p.m. at the Armstrong’s Club, Bldg. 1036 on Vogelweh Housing. Feature comedian is Kendra Borgan. Host is local comedian Erin Crouch. This is an 18+ event. Friday Nights Trivia & Karaoke

Friday nights at Armstrong’s Club, Bldg. 1036, on Vogelweh Housing, offer two free entertainment events happening now for the community. Chuck’s Pub Trivia takes place from 7 to 10 p.m. and features prizes for first, second and third place. Karaoke follows from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. and is open to guests ages 18 and older only. The events provide an opportunity for participants to test their knowledge, enjoy music and spend an evening with friends.

Volunteer Youth Sports Coaches

Volunteer youth sports coaches are needed for the Baumholder Youth Sports winter season. Coaches are needed for basketball, cheer, volleyball, bowling and indoor soccer. Benefits include volunteer hours toward awards and promotion, own children enrolled receive up to 100% discount on sports fee, earn signature Baumholder sports swag gear, and have a positive impact on community and the mission. Homeschool Physical Fitness Fall Program

Kaiserslautern Army Child & Youth Services will offer its Homeschool Physical Fitness program on Wednesday now to Dec. 16 for youth ages 5 to 14 at various locations in Landstuhl. The program promotes physical activity, teamwork and social connections through age-specific fitness sessions for homeschool students. Registration is available through WebTrac or Parent Central Services, and participants must be registered with CYS. The cost is $40 for the full program, and no sports physical is required. 2026-2027 Rheinland-Pfalz Intramural Unit Level Basketball Registration

The Rheinland-Pfalz Intramural Sports program announces registration for the 2026-2027 Intramural Unit Level Basketball Season from Oct. 1 to 31.  The Unit Level Basketball Season starts Nov. 16 to Feb. 17 at the Hall of Champions and Kleber Physical Fitness Centers. Eligibility is Active-Duty military and DOD Civilian Card Holders, 18 and older, who are not enrolled in high school or CYS, and from units within the Baumholder and Kaiserslautern communities. Start Smart Basketball

Enrollment for Start Smart Basketball for ages 3 to 5 is Oct. 13 to 31 or when sessions are full.  Cost is $25. Location is in Landstuhl. Start Smart is a parent/child interactive program led by a Sports and Fitness Specialist. Start Smart teaches children the skills they need to play organized sports in a FUN, non-competitive environment in five, 45-minute sessions. 500/1000 Pound Club Event

Registration for the Kleber Physical Fitness Center’s 500/1000 Pound Club competition runs Oct. 1 to 17, with the event scheduled for Oct. 17 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Kleber Physical Fitness Center, Bldg. 3235 on Kleber Kaserne. The competition is open to military, civilian and local national ID cardholders, aged 18 and older. Participants must register in person at the Kleber Physical Fitness Center. The event will follow USA Powerlifting rules and regulations, and high school students and Child & Youth Services participants are not eligible to compete. A Wreath From the Woods

Embrace the colors of the season and craft a one-of-a-kind autumn wreath at A Wreath From the Woods from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, at the Sembach Community Center, Bldg. 220 on Sembach Kaserne. Participants will use natural, seasonal materials to design a handcrafted wreath perfect for welcoming fall. The event is open to adults ages 18 and older. Cost is $30 per person.

Holiday Bazaar

Get a head start on holiday shopping at the annual Holiday Bazaar, featuring unique European gifts, specialty foods, handcrafted items, and more. Join Family & MWR for the Holiday Bazaar from Friday, Nov. 6 to Sunday, Nov. 8 at the Sembach Bazaar Warehouse, Bldg. 141 on Sembach Kaserne. Hours of shopping are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., on Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., on Sunday. There will be a multitude of vendors offering everything from pottery, antiques, wine, cheese, jewelry, and so much more. All prices are in U.S. dollars, with only debit and credit cards accepted. Open to U.S. ID cardholders only. Strollers are welcome.

Organizations and groups can reserve meeting and training spaces at the Workforce Development Center, Bldg. 109, on Sembach Kaserne. Multiple room options are available to accommodate events, briefings, training sessions, and conferences of varying sizes. Baumholder 101

Meet new and seasoned community members at the Baumholder 101 held either twice or once a month from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Post Office building 8661 on Smith Barracks. The next one is Monday, Sep. 28. Other dates are Oct. 26, Nov. 9 & Dec. 14. The goal of this orientation is to connect families with resources, community information, local agencies and services, and other Spouses. There will be representatives from Army Community Service, Outdoor Recreation, Value Added Tax, and many others. Dates for the rest of the year are Sep. 28, Oct. 26, Nov. 9 and Dec. 14. Sports Massage Therapy in Baumholder

Sports Massage Therapy services are now available at the Aquatics Center, Bldg. 8895/8897 on Wetzel Kaserne, offering 30-, 50- and 80minute sessions designed to ease tension and improve mobility. Certified therapists provide Myofascial Release, Deep Tissue, Swedish Massage, and Medical Sports Massage to help reduce stress, manage pain and support strength building. The Baumholder program offers personalized care for active-duty service members, families and community members. All services require a scheduled appointment. Dog Obedience Training

Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation has dog obedience training starting at eight-weeks of age held Saturdays at the Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation Motor Pool, Bldg. 2902 on Pulaski Barracks. Classes are one hour, with time slots between 9 a.m. to noon depending on the size of the dog. Cost is $15 per dog. This fee must be paid in advance by close of business Friday either in person at Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation or by calling 493-4117 or 0631-3406-4117. SKIES Gymnastics

Enrollment is now open for SKIES Unlimited gymnastics for ages 1 to 18 in the Kaiserslautern Community. SOS Survivor Support Group

The Army Community Service Survivor Outreach Services hosts a SOS Survivor Support Group second Thursday of every month from 5 to 7 p.m. in Building 3820 (next to the Thrift Shop), second floor conference room on Landstuhl Post. Registration is required and must be done by 2 p.m. the day of the meeting by calling the ACS front desk at 531-2863/2851 or 0611-143-531-2863/2851. This is an ongoing monthly support group for surviving family members of deceased active duty service members.

Latin Nights at the Rheinlander!

The last Friday of the month is Latin Night from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., in the ballroom of the Rheinlander Community Club, Bldg. 8085 on Smith Barracks. The Salsa Band Borinkuba will perform live several Latin music favorites, such as Salsa, Merengue and Bachata.  Food is available from 8 to 11 p.m. This event is for those 18 and older, who are I.D. card holders.
