Country star presents free concert in hangar

***image1***U.S. Air Forces in Europe Services, 435th Services and Project CHEER offer a can’t-miss evening of live music, food and entertainment Thursday. The evening’s top draw is a free concert in Hangar 3 by country music star LeAnn Rimes at 7 p.m. (doors open at 6 p.m.).

Prior to the concert, people are invited to a burger burn 3 p.m. at the Ramstein Air Base lake. There will be big-glove boxing, sumo wrestling, a paper airplane flight competition and music by a disc jockey.

The two events are open to all ranks and all U.S. and NATO ID card holders.

Rimes will entertain crowds with her chart-topping hits and possibly songs from her new album, “This Woman,” scheduled for release on Nov. 2. Rimes is touring Europe in September, including two shows for the Armed Forces; the other concert takes place at Vilseck Army Airfield on Sept. 24. (Courtesy 435th Services Squadron)
