The third culinary beer hike with brewer market will take place Saturday and Sunday in Landstuhl.

The hike leads from Nanstein Castle in Landstuhl to the Baerenloch pond in Kindsbach. Along the 8-kilomter trail, six stations will be put up to offer various types of beer and culinary specialties made with beer.

“Beer will be in the focus this weekend,” said Christoph Molter from the organizing event team. “Besides serving beer at all stations, our brewery market with 11 breweries is set up all around Nanstein Castle.” Numerous culinary specialties are also made with beer such as Oms’a beer goulash, burger variations, salmon and pulled pork.

The culinary beer hike again includes a musical program with swing, jazz and rock‘n’roll, planned by the Landstuhl music expert Franz Wosnitza.

“To finance the entertainment, every visitor has the opportunity to buy a hiking pass for €5.50 or a beer pass with stylish beer glass for €8 at each of the Info Points, which are located at the beginning of the hike near Nanstein Castle or Bärenlochweiher pond,” said Molter.

With this pass hikers can create their own beer tasting and get their  glasses filled one time at each station for 2€. The beer passes also take place in a raffle. Hikers who don’t drink beer, don’t need a beer pass.

Parking facilities are in Landstuhl near Rathaus or Alter Markt, or in Kindsbach near Bärenlochweiher pond. Or the community hall. Public transportation by train or busses will be available as well; check www.bahn.de or www.vrn.de.

“Be part of this wonderful and amazing day, when we all say, ‘we walk the culinary style,’” said Molter.

Participants of the beer hike leading from Landstuhl to Kindsbach can take breaks along the route and try food specialties including salmon from the finish Kota grill.
