According to Mayor Harald Westrich, the culinary hiking tour in Niederkirchen and Heimkirchen promises a marvelous landscape to visitors. The beautiful views of the hills and green meadows are sure to fascinate hikers. Palatinate specialties and other culinary delights are provided at several stopping points.
Delicacies to enjoy are Palatinate wild game, Palatinate cheese with onions, sandwiches with sausage specialties, smoked trout, Palatinate spit roast, homemade pasta salad and cakes, stir-fried potatoes, meat dumplings, and cheese skewers. Drinks will include draft beer, wine and prosecco, and distilled specialties.

Booths invite guests to stay and enjoy a good time with family and friends amid the beautiful scenery. The hiking trail passes the Pfleger Family farm museum at Holbornerhof. The museum holds exhibits showing the development of farming culture.
Another unique attraction is an exhibition of chainsaw works. Young visitors can enjoy a bouncing castle and face painting and walk along the stroller-friendly path.
