Deutsche Telekom to change

Deutsche Telekom has restructured telephone tariffs and now offers four
telephone plans available with either an analog or ISDN residential
phone line.
Consumers should be aware of a significant change in the minimum
duration that now applies to most of these new telephone tariffs.

The newly restructured tariffs would apply to new Deutsche Telekom and
TKSSnap! telephone activations or to current subscribers that change
their phone service as the result of a move or relocation. This will
not effect preexisting Deutsche Telekom or TKSSnap! telephone customers
unless they specifically request a change of service.

• Most new Deutsche Telekom tariffs are now available only with one-year minimum contract duration.
• The only exception will be the previously offered Call Plus tariff.
• Additional charges apply to early cancellations.
When signing up for a telephone line, it is standard practice for TKS
representatives to inform servicemembers beforehand of these special
requirements.

Note that many service providers that operate within the German economy
are geared towards serving the German-speaking population. The majority
of telephone offerings are targeted primarily towards these
comparatively “long-term” German consumers. Regrettably, critical
information such as the minimum contract duration and terms of
cancellation is very often not effectively communicated to
English-speakers and may result in costly misunderstandings. TKS on the
other hand specializes in providing cost-effective, flexible English
services that are custom tailored to the special needs of
English-speaking military and civilian personnel residing in Germany.

TKSSnap! English phone service is available anywhere in Germany, on or
off-post. With a commitment to serving U.S. military personnel,
TKSSnap! phone service will continue to feature the most up-to-date
service options that are currently available in the German
telecommunications marketplace.
