***image1***Hamburgers and hot dogs sizzled as 86th Airlift Wing chiefs and first sergeants cooked on the new BBQ grill at the 86th AW dormitory Monday on Dorm Appreciation Day.

The grill, along with two new kitchens, is the result of the U.S. Air Forces in Europe Dorm Quality of Life program, 86th AW quality of life funds and self-help projects.

Thirteen 86th AW personnel donated more than 200 self-help hours to save the government more than $15,000 in costs for the kitchen upgrade and installation of the new BBQ. The self-help work included removing the outdated kitchens, installing sheetrock and painting the kitchen area.
The new massive BBQ grill was installed from scratch by a crew of 786th Security Forces personnel.
