Easter markets with Easter egg displays, decoration items and special activities are scheduled to take place in the coming weeks.

The first event will be the 20th annual Easter egg market, sponsored by the Westpfalz Werkstätten, which takes place from 11 a.m to 6 p.m Saturday and Sunday in Kaiserslautern-Siegelbach, Sauerwiesen 18.

More than 20 hobby artists will present traditional and modern Easter eggs. Visitors can watch the artists present a variety of techniques. The traditional eggs show engravings, wax, straw and pearl applications. Modern techniques feature marbled eggs (eggs painted with oil and water colors), turning them into little artworks.

Visitors admire the work of artists presenting their techniques at the Siegelbach Easter egg market.
