Energy tip of the week – October 7, 2022

If you follow a few simple rules in the kitchen, you can cut power consumption by 50% when cooking without making any major purchases:

  • Always heat water in an electric kettle
  • Always use the saucepan with a lid and, after boiling, reduce the power on the stove.
  • Use appliances such as egg cookers and coffee machines, as well as the microwave oven for small quantities and short cooking times.
  • Use the coffee maker and thermos flask. A coffee machine that brews directly into the thermos flask is ideal.
